Some lucky parent is going to receive this GREAT post card soon! Nancy, who sorts our mail, brought it to my desk yesterday afternoon…..with no name and no address the postcard could not be sent. I read the postcard at breakfast this morning. The girls and staff LOVED it! The author was found and the postcard is on it’s way home!
A light rain continues today. There have been times that it is not raining at all and we fully embrace those times. The canoeing and fishing docks are now covered with water, so fishing from the shore line is now what we do. The report from fishing today is that we have a record number of fish being caught and released…the fish really like the rain! Canoeing is enjoying canoeing over the docks!!
There are lots of great activity pictures. I did especially love looking at all of the chicken shots as you can see!!
This winter we asked campers to submit a meal with recipes that they would like to have while at camp, and we chose a winner from each session. The Junior Camp meal was served last night…. Sloppy Joe’s, roasted corn, and roasted potatoes submitted by Virginia de Idiaquez, and it was delicious! This morning, fruit bar (which always has hard boiled eggs, oatmeal and homemade granola), pancakes, sausages (many of us make pigs in a blanket with these) and cereal. Lunch will be homemade bread, chicken broccoli & rice, and a big salad bar that includes extras like hummus and soybutter. Tonight is the FAMOUS Greystone Pizza night! We make it from scratch and it is delicious!!
All is well….we are having fun and loving being with your daughters. As I end this blog, the sun is peeking through the clouds. Camp is a glorious green!!
