We had a restful night and woke up to showers. With the predictions of 90% rain with Thunderstorms, we decided to delay Carnival 1 more day, and went about the business of changing up the day. Of course, the weather did totally the opposite of what we were expecting. It has been a morning of no rain, which has been a blessing for all of our classes. The lake has receded a bit, but Canoeing and Waterpark are holding their classes in the Dining Hall because of the water levels. We got a glimpse of the sun at about 1:00 during lunch, but the clouds are dark right now, making for good Rest Hour weather!
Challenge Day was a blast! One of the favorite competitions was an all camp human fooze ball game in the pit. You will have to have your campers tell you about the game…they had such fun!
We will announce the winners of the competition on Banquet Night. The girls have also been able to win points for their teams through inspection. They can’t wait to find out the final score!
Classes will go on this afternoon, then tonight we are going to have Movie night in the Pavilion. The girls will come in their PJ’s and bring their favorite Lovie. We will serve popcorn and mini Shasta Lemon Lime sodas for a movie snack.
Breakfast was fruit, egg-hash brown casserole, patty sausage and grits. For lunch salad bar which also included hummus & couscous, hot dogs, slaw, fresh fruit and chocolate cookies.
It is hard to believe that tomorrow is our last day of camp! After morning classes we will have a picnic lunch and midday carnival. The girls will then go back to their cabins, shower, dress in their whites and have rest hour, then will pack up their things for closing on Friday morning. Any wet items will be packed in PLASTIC BAGS then put in laundry bags. For those items going UPS, we will dry wet things before they are packed. Tomorrow in the blog I will go over picking up instructions for closing day, so be looking for that. We are loving your precious girls! Thanks for sharing them with us!!
