5 Reasons 2021 Is the Year to Work at Greystone

2020 is finally coming to a close, and it’s safe to say it might not have been your favorite. But we know one way to guarantee you start 2021 on the right note: applying TODAY to be on staff for this summer!

So much is still uncertain, so why not add a little certainty and sign your contract to work the best job ever? We bet it’ll be the highlight of your year, and set you up for the future in ways you may not even know yet.

But why this summer? What if you’re on the fence, or just not sure if this is the right time for you to be a counselor? We’ve been there, and we get it! First of all, just start praying about it! Pray that God would give you clarity and tug on your heart if this is where He has you for summer 2021. But beyond that, we have a few reasons in mind…

1. Camp is a safe haven. After this crazy year, how nice will it be to step away from the real world and be in the bubble? Let us paint the picture: you, your new best friends, and some of the most incredible campers around away from technology and in God’s creation to enjoy each other and Him all summer long. Say goodbye to that phone and hello to a purposeful, meaningful, restorative way to spend your summer!
2. Camp is silly! 2020 has been heavy on all of us. This summer is a chance to let go of the pressures of the world and just be young again. You’ll work hard, but you’ll also play hard! You’ll cartwheel and dance and sing at the top of your lungs. Camp this summer is going to be a lot of FUN, and you will enjoy it as much as the campers!
3. Camp is a place to remember what matters. Greystone is all about relationships - with friends and the Lord. When you work at camp, your summer is simple in a beautiful way. You’ll have a chance to grow in your relationship with Jesus and make friends that will last a lifetime. Here you can recenter yourself on the important things before another year of school.
4. Camp is going to feel even sweeter than ever. After a summer without camp, we cannot wait to soak in every little bit of the bubble. 2020 has isolated us, and at camp we’re going to get to simply be together - how wonderful is that going to be? We’re not going to take anything for granted! Just being together is going to feel so good, and our staff will get to share in that joy.
5. Camp’s staff is going to be the best ever! One thing we can’t get over? How INCREDIBLE our 2021 staff is shaping up to be. The Lord is drawing people here and we can’t wait to introduce them to you this spring. For now just trust us: this is a team you are going to want to be a part of!
